I have been an advocate and user of open source software for over ten years now.
In my consultancy work I use the following software, which will run on Windows, Apple and Linux computers:
Many statutory sector and commercial organisations use these packages and are discovering the benefits. My office and laptop computers run the Linux operating system, which is fast, reliable and virus-free. Google runs on it, and so can you!
- Using free and open source software helps to keep costs down, but more than that it's effective, reliable and good to use.
