Networks, networks, networks
Independent consultants have the benefit of being able to collaborate with one another when there is a need for more input, or when additional specialist skills are needed to achieve results.
During my consultancy career I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to collaborate with a number of other independents and small companies. Currently I am working with Dr. Yvonne Anderson at Cernis Ltd. and with the Cheshire & Merseyside Child Health Development Programme.
I always look at the opportunity to bring in additional skill and / or resources when considering a project and have built up a wide community of contacts over the years.

Third Sector
In addition to my consultancy work I have been a Trustee of a Council for Voluntary Service for the past 5 years. For four of these I was the Chair and during this time helped - with others - to bring two organisations together as one. There is a lot of synergy between this Third Sector experience and my consultancy work, and this is likely to increase as the Government builds its vision of a Big Society.
I am available for consultancy with Third Sector organisations and have recently given presentations on the merger process.
