An experienced independent consultant with over 17 years experience. Before launching my independent career I held senior management positions in the NHS for 20 years. In my NHS career I spent 10 years managing acute general hospitals followed by 10 years managing hospital and community mental health services.
After leaving the post of CEO for mental health services in and around Epsom, I was asked to join the NHS Executive's Mental Health Task force, reviewing mental health services throughout England.

- Establishing the first community mental health team in an East London Borough - when such teams were just becoming mainstream
- Rescuing a major capital project by orchestrating the redesign of a new adult mental health unit within a three month period and with extensive service user engagement
- Establishing the ground breaking first online Needs Assessment generator for the National CAMHS Support Service
- Completed a number of service effectiveness reviews for local authorities and health organisations using a range of tools including the Best Value methodology and the European Foundation for Quality Management
